Teenage Fanclub

Rock
Formed in 1989, Scotland's Teenage Fanclub spent much of their career as torch-bearers for the power pop revival, in the tradition of such guitar driven bands like Badfinger and Big Star. Norman Blake, Gerard Love and Raymond McGinley have all contributed their songwriting talents to the fold. Their bumpy history with regards to record sales and a select fanbase over time have made them persevere where other may have packed it in. The band's latest is 'Man-Made,' released on their own Pema label.

Joe Jackson

Pop, Rock
Pianist Joe Jackson's songs run the gamut of pop/punk ditties such as "Sunday Papers" and "Is She Really Going Out With Him" to intricate compositions and chamber music. His pop career hit a major high with 1982's "Night and Day," featuring the singles "Steppin' Out" and "Breaking Us in Two." Ever-restless and ever-changing course, Jackson traveled the world to record his most recent album, "Fast Forward," his first collection of original songs in seven years, which was released in 2015. Originally conceived to be released as a series of EPs, the album was produced and arranged by Jackson, and features four sets of four songs recorded in four different cities — New York, New Orleans, Berlin and Amsterdam — each with a different set of first-call supporting musicians. The results rank among the richest and most rewarding music of his storied career.

We Three

Pop, Rock
We Three (siblings Joshua, Bethany and Manny) warmed hearts with their unforgettable 2018 "America’s Got Talent" audition in which they poured all their emotions into an original song, which they dedicated to their late mother, who passed away two years ago after a battle with cancer. They finished the season as semi-finalists and release their self-titled debut album in December. Joshua uniquely plays the Piano and Drums – sometimes simultaneously, Manny the Guitar, and Bethany the Bass. But there are no rules as each can adeptly swap instruments and often sound like a much larger ensemble. A strong lead vocal is complemented by lush harmonies that glide with superlative ease over complex arrangements that appear deliciously simple. We Three's original songwriting style is positive and purposeful, with smart lyrics and infectious melodies.

This band out of Long Beach, California, circa 2009, have repeatedly been called white guys in thrall to the blues of their black brethren. Online and off, critics loved their 2016 album, "Hollow Bones."
