Celebrating “Gardens of the World” in 2019, the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival features over 20 spectacular display gardens, more than 100 free seminar presentations, entertaining and educational interactive attractions, high-quality shopping opportunities in the Marketplace and more. The nation’s second-largest flower and garden event runs February 20-24 at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle. The festival’s website at www.gardenshow.com is the “go-to” destination for purchasing tickets, great downtown hotel accommodations, and previewing of the festival’s vast array of attractions. Attracting gardening newbies, veteran “green thumbs” and folks seeking a bright and beautiful respite from winter, the five-day festival features a packed line-up of attractions, including: • Over 20 stunning display gardens spotlighting spectacular colors, textures and lifestyle features combined with useful take-home ideas for attendees. The region’s top garden design professionals are now planning their distinctive creations inspired by the “Gardens of the World” theme. • A full schedule of 102 informative and entertaining seminars with a line-up of 70 nationally-known authorities and top regional experts. Free with admission to the festival, presentations in nine categories include gardening with houseplants, small space gardening, edibles and culinary skills, a variety of DIY demonstrations, sustainability trends, garden art, and how-to advice in selecting the best plants for your garden. • World-class shopping in the Marketplace, attracting over 350 vendors offering tasteful art for the home and garden, plants, bulbs and seeds, one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories, clever tools, gourmet food products, useful services and much more. You don’t have to be a gardener to appreciate the quality shopping experience in the Marketplace. • Dueling garden luminaries take the “Container Wars” stage daily at 11:30 am.
Price: “Early Bird” tickets on sale through Feb. 19 for $19 - a savings of $5. Feb. 20-24 adult tickets can be purchased online for $22 (savings of $2), or at the door: adults ($24), students 13 to 23 years ($10), and children 12 and under admitted free.
