We spent New Year's Eve with a group of friends at Cork...we had a terrific time. Not only was the staff friendly and attentive but each hour they brought "bubbles" around for the customers to celebrate New Years in a different worldly region. French bubbles, California bubbles, Australian bubbles.. a class act, Cork! The theme for the evening was "progressive New Years" so each hour new appetizers arrived to compliment the featured region. For example, shrimp flatbreads with the Australian wines, empanadas with the South American wines, Brie en croute with French wine, smoked salmon with the Washington wines. These guys couldn't have done it better! We arrived at 7 p.m. and enjoyed ourselves right up to midnight. The wine selection, staff, and classy atmosphere make this place worth the drive to Tacoma.
