Die Berliner Harfejule, Nancy Thym

Internationally acclaimed harpistand storyteller Nancy Thym brings the story of Louise Nordmann (1829-1911) to life in her one-woman show Die Berliner Harfenjule. The Harfenjule (female wandering harpists of the 18th & 19th centuries) traveled through Europe iwht their harps on their backs, performing at fetivals, city markets and inns. In historical dress, Thym recounts the Harfenjule's experiences, singing and playing harp pices for Nordmann's repertoire. Donations welcome at the door.
