Family Camp at the History Museum: The Mystery of the Mummy
Wednesday, Aug 8, 2012 11:00a
Washington State History Museum
Tacoma,
WA
What was the fascination that drew Tacoma founder Allen C. Mason to Egypt? Why were mummies considered “essential” to every great museum collection? What do ancient coffin paintings reveal? Travel through time to unwrap the mysteries of Mason and Ankh Wennefer.
Parents and children will enjoy hands-on activities and games while learning about the past. Camps run 11 AM to NOON. Families may bring a brown lunch for afterwards and stay to enjoy the museum exhibits in more depth.
