Building Blocks Early Learning Festival

Building Blocks - the Seattle's Child early learning festival for ages 5 and under and their parents - is happening tomorrow, Saturday 9:30 - 12:30 at Hamlin Robinson School. This free, fun and informative event is a great way to spend a rainy, post-Halloween, Saturday morning. Highlights include: Thistle Theater Puppet Show "Mrs Periwinkle and Possum", a kid cooking demo by Bean Sprouts (make your own spider sandwich), an Afro-Caribbean "Baby Jam", sing-along with Sunshine Music Together,… Show more storytelling from Frye Museum, dancing with Jamtown, crafts and stories from the Nordic Museum and a dinosaur activity from the Burke Museum. And for parents there's over 40 preschool and other learning opportunities and "mini-talks" to check out while kids romp in the free childcare provided by Seattle Preschool. First 200 families to arrive get a goody bag!
