Jackie Paper

Jackie-Paper started performing in early 2006 as DownStroke. The band got it’s start when the core members, Tim Davis (drums), Jakael Tristram (guitar), Mycle Wastman (vocals, guitar) and Harry Wirth (bass) decided they wanted a creative outlet for jamming and ultimately writing new music. The band added Tim’s brother Anthony on percussion and Jackie Paper was born. Jackie-Paper started playing regularly at Seattle area clubs and began writing and recording original material. The band still needed a permanent keyboard player and were fortunate enough to snag local legend Steve Scalfadi. The line-up was complete. Jackie-Paper’s sound is something that developed on its own and is a combination of all of the member’s influences. Rock, funk, soul, gospel and even hip-hop are all a part of what makes up the JP sound but ultimately when all of these elements are combined with the unbelievable voice of Mycle Wastman it creates something very original and powerful.
