Community Event, Green/Environmental, Social Event
Burning oil, gas and coal has not only polluted our air, water and land for decades. Now it’s changing our climate even faster than scientists feared it would. We can have healthier communities right now and a livable future for kids growing up today. But to get there, we need to transform the way we produce and consume energy.
Environment Washington has gathered hundreds of petitions and business sign-ons, building up a local movement. Edmonds, Bellingham, Whatcom County and Spokane have committed to 100% renewable energy - Tacoma should be next.
To that end, we're organizing a meeting to kick off a local effort to make Tacoma a 100% clean, renewable energy.
We’ll be discussing how Tacoma’s commitment could make a huge difference, not only here, but for the state as a whole. Join us on November 13th at 6 PM at 2nd Cycle (1205 MLK Jr. Way, Tacoma) to find out more and get involved.
