PLU music professor and composer, Gregory Youtz, Ph.D. will give a talk on how opera has reinvented itself since the 1970's, utilizing techniques borrowed from the film industry. Youtz will share his favorite operas of recent years and describe his own composing process. January 16, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at PLU's Morken Center, Rm 103.
