Four years after the earlier adventures of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her best gal pals, she and her intermittent lover, Big (Chris Noth), are in a committed relationship. Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and her husband live on Park Avenue, and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), now in Brooklyn, feels the pressure of family life.

The film seemed to be written just like a television episode would have, which is more proof that television does not translate to film very well. They would have probably done better to write it like a film screenplay, rather than an elongated television spot.
A friend of mine who is a big fan of the show thought the film was not nearly as cleverly written as any of the original television series, and referred to the film as "crap."

Avid fans love the movie but so do those who weren't ever into it. I've heard so many people say that they thought it was phenomenal, especially those you would not expect.

I went to see this movie last night--12:01 a.m. and it was what I had expected. This is a GREAT movie. I am going to see it again.
