Christmas at the Fort

Re-enactors will present a period candle-light Christmas in the four remaining officers’ quarters. The Casey’s will be entertaining guests from Steilacoom, Fort Nisqually, and elsewhere as carolers, officers and soldiers stroll about, and ladies and gentlemen dance to the tune of fiddlers. There will also be children’s craft activities, and the gift shop will be open for Christmas shopping.

Continuing our cycle of 150th anniversary events, this year’s event will recreate the events, people, and issues of December 12, 1859. In addition to celebrating the revelry and holiday fare of the season, fort personalities will talk of the latest political, market, and local news. This event requires ticket admission and re-enactor participation is by application only; persona slots will be limited.
